Picnic at Park

Nice sunny day to have a picnic. Too bad Alexis wasn't feeling well and stayed home with her Dad.

We finished the Picnic at the Chandler home, with a Valentine Day cake.

Flagstaff

Travelled up to the snow country for Elfriede's doctor appointment. First a leisurely stroll through the mall, a nice lunch at Ruby Tuesday, a quick stop at the Buffalo Park. Xrays of hips looked good, Dr Randall precribed some physical therapy for pain management.

No hiking in Buffalo Park, trail cleared of snow, but muddy.

Hiking in Sedona

After a few days of rain/snow the sun came out again. We walked the "Bellrock Trail" today. It was muddy in places and somewhat cool, but sunny.

Luca's Birthday

We took our grandson Luca for a ride on the Phoenix Light Rail, from Main/Sycamore in Mesa to the 3rd St/Washington stop. Then a short walk to 7th Street to the Phoenix Children Museum. There were all kinds of fun activities for Luca to  enjoy

After a ride home by rail and car, we had a nice dinner (Uncle Teejay was there too) and Luca blew out his candles and opened a few presents.

Christmas 2009

We had Alexis and Luca visiting for a few days.
We took them to the Casino for lunch at Johnny Rocket,
 bowling and some fun time at Kid's Quest.
 Origninal plans were for some snow fun at Flagstaff,
but the weather was too snowy with slick roads on I-17 and I-40.

On Christmas Eve we took them back home for a nice dinnerof cold cuts and more. The kids were allowed to open a couple presents.

On Christmas Day they opened the rest of them. The we had a delicious dinner consisting of baked ham with all the trimmings.

Verde Valley Voices Concert

The Verde Valley Voices together with the Cottonwood Community Band presented some Holiday favorites at the new auditorium of the Verde Baptist Church.

Enjoyed the sounds of the band, playing in the newly renovated Mingus High School auditorium.
